The long-awaited match between Getinge IF and Våxtorps BoIS took place on Friday evening at Getinge IP 1. In front of an audience of 70 people, there was a glowing interest in seeing how it would go between the league leaders and the bottom-placed team.
It didn't take long for Getinge IF to show why they dominate the standings, as Jacob Hallberg opened the scoring in the 6th minute. He was in great form and continued to find the net in the 16th and 44th minutes, finishing with a hat trick. Oscar Bengtsson also showcased his scoring ability with two goals, while William Nilsson and Samuel Bjärnklint contributed to the winning goal. The match ended with yet another goal from Hallberg, this time from the penalty spot.
Våxtorps BoIS struggled to withstand the strong attack from Getinge IF, and it became even more difficult when they were reduced to ten men after Jesper Uhlin was sent off in the 80th minute.
Referee Antonio Nielsen kept a cool head and handled the match in a professional manner, assisted by Filip Håkansson and Samir Kahrimani.
After an overwhelming 9-0 victory for Getinge IF, they continue to impress in Division 5 Halland Södra, while Våxtorps BoIS will head home to regroup for upcoming matches.
