On Wednesday evening, Sund IF 2 faced off against Hassels IF at Flodbergsudden in a match in Division 5 Medelpad. Despite the match being important for both teams, there was an unexpected dominance from Hassels IF.
Already in the 10th minute, Hassels took the lead through Gustav Salomonsson and continued to press Sund IF 2. Just a few minutes later, Jan Henriksson doubled the lead to 2-0, and Lamin Konate then made it 3-0 just moments after.
Before halftime, Gustav Salomonsson scored his second goal, increasing Hassels' lead to 4-0. Despite the large deficit, Sund IF 2 did not give up and managed to reduce the score through Emil Jabari in the 65th minute, and then also scored a penalty through Bardhi Shala in the 70th minute.
But Hassels IF quickly responded with two more goals, a penalty by Adam Persson in the 75th minute, and then Denniz Ekman sealed the deal with 6-2 in the 77th minute.
The match ended 6-2 in favor of Hassels IF, giving them a convincing away victory. Sund IF 2 will take lessons from the match and reload for their next game in an attempt to get back on the winning track.
