Hassels IF put on a display in their third match of the season when they defeated Matfors IF 2 away with a score of 6-0 at Thulevallen in Medelpad.
The match, which drew 60 spectators, started with a high tempo from the visitors. Just six minutes in, they took the lead through Gustav Salomonsson, who angled the ball into the nearest corner after receiving a fine pass from his teammate.
Matfors tried to hold on, but struggled to establish their own play and often looked stressed in possession. It was instead Hassels who created the most dangerous chances, and in the 57th minute, Denniz Ekman doubled the lead to 2-0 after being brought down in the penalty area.
The visitors were now comfortably ahead, and just four minutes later, Salomonsson scored his second goal of the evening, making it 3-0.
Goals continued to rain down from Hassels, and in the 62nd minute, Oskar Sundvall scored a beautiful solo goal as he ran past two defenders and placed the ball into the far corner.
Matfors attempted to respond, but their efforts were feeble, and in the 83rd minute, Mohamadou Sumareh made it 5-0 with a header after a well-taken corner.
The match concluded with a goal from Joakim Blomberg in the 85th minute, who elegantly rounded the Matfors goalkeeper and placed the ball into the empty net.
In the end, the score was 6-0 in favor of Hassels IF, and the three points were never in doubt. Matfors IF 2 will have to look ahead once again and take lessons from this heavy defeat.
The match was officiated by referee Robin Bergman, with assistant referees Faris Keflit Tewelde and Emma Mattsson. In the 87th minute, William Edström of Matfors IF 2 received a yellow card.
