On Sunday, September 17, Södermalm FF and Söråkers FF faced off in Division 5 Medelpad at Kustängens IP. Despite the absence of an audience in the stands, the players were charged up for the match, with referee Seyed Mohammad Hosseini and his assistants, Nils Borgström and Krister Sandin, officiating the game.
The match started evenly, but it was Södermalm FF that first found itself in trouble when Mattis Olofsson received a yellow card in the 14th minute. However, it didn’t take long for the team to make a comeback. In the 25th minute, Tommy Stenqvist struck and scored for Södermalm FF, taking the lead at 1-0.
Söråkers FF, however, would not give up easily, and in the 28th minute, Jonas Nordström equalized to 1-1. This prompted Södermalm FF to step up their game, and in the 55th minute, Dennis Marzouki made it 2-1 for the home team.
After this, Södermalm FF launched an offensive, looking for more goals to secure their lead. However, this resulted in several yellow cards for the team, with Peter Bingman receiving one in the 58th minute and Jan-Olof Sölvestål in the 63rd minute.
This did not deter the team from continuing to fight, and in the 70th minute, it was time again. This time, Mattis Olofsson scored his first goal of the day, increasing the lead to 3-1.
Söråkers FF kept fighting and attempted at least once more to close the gap. But the ball just wouldn’t go in, and instead, there were more yellow cards for Södermalm FF. Christer Eriksson received his in the 80th minute and Edvin Nilsson in the 87th minute.
The match concluded with Söråkers FF receiving their last yellow card when Nicklas Mattsson got one in the 91st minute. But this did not change the outcome on the pitch, as Södermalm FF secured a well-deserved victory with a score of 3-1.
