Frövi IK did not let anyone in the audience keep up the nail-biting for too long in tonight's meeting against IFK Lindesberg. Already after ten minutes, Gustav Runström had scored the first goal behind Lindesberg's goalkeeper, and the Twitter users in the stands had gotten used to the hashtag "we leaders say that fetching the halftime snacks feels unnecessary."
IFK Lindesberg fought hard, but Frövi IK was clearly the stronger team on the field. Lindesberg's defense looked pressured, and shortly after the second goal of the evening from Gustav Runström, Johannes Halvardsson scored goal number three. It was a long and tough half-hour for the visiting team, as they tried to find their game but struggled to get past Frövi's aggressive defense.
In the 44th minute, Filip Höijer managed to score the fourth goal of the evening before the teams left the pitch to recharge for the second half. After the break, it was Frövi IK that continued to be the stronger team. William Andersson and Kevin Sjöholm both received a yellow card (which would later have consequences for Sjöholm). IFK Lindesberg continued to fight, but without ever coming close to Frövi's goal.
In the 82nd minute, Kevin Sjöholm scored the final goal of the evening, and Frövi IK had picked up three much-needed points at home on Fröjevi IP Synthetic Turf. A strong performance by the home team, who will need to carry the energy from tonight's victory forward and continue to deliver in order to climb the table.
