Last Saturday, a heated match was played between Skeninge IK and Vikingstads SK at Skänninge IP in Division 5 Östergötland West, men's. Despite the lovely weather, there was a crowd of zero people present, but that did not stop the teams from giving it their all.
The match was even from the start, but it was Vikingstads SK who would score the first goal in the tenth minute. Liam Emelin neatly placed the ball into the net and gave his team the advantage.
However, Skeninge IK was not going to give up easily. In the seventeenth minute, it was Theo Nyberg who responded for the home team's first goal, equalizing it to 1-1.
In the 35th minute, Lukas Redin was cautioned for his play, and this was an indication of what was to come. In the 48th minute, Vikingstads SK’s Daniel Malmström Arnesson scored a goal and gave his team the lead.
And then, only one player would show his goal-scoring ability. Daniel Malmström Arnesson netted another goal, this time in the 53rd minute, putting his team ahead 3-1.
But there would be another yellow card in the match, this time for Vikingstads SK’s Henrik Robertson for his play along the sideline.
Despite Skeninge IK's attempts to equalize, Vikingstads SK did not give up, and ultimately the match ended with an away victory for the visiting team, 3-1.
