On a sunny Sunday afternoon, Brösarps IF faced Vanstads IF at Utsikten A-plan. A year after the pandemic had left football teams hungry for match play and to showcase their best.
The match started with high intensity and open play from both sides. After eight minutes, Brösarps IF led 1-0 thanks to a goal from Elias Gunnarsson. However, Vanstads IF picked up the pace and managed to equalize to 1-1 after 19 minutes, thanks to Edvin Nilsson’s fine performance.
Vanstads IF received a penalty in the 35th minute, but Viktor Rosberg completely missed the goal. This, however, was quickly avenged when Ted Petrusson managed to score to make it 1-2 for Vanstads IF in the 37th minute. Before halftime, the score stood at 1-2 in favor of the visitors.
The second half was completely dominated by Vanstads IF from the start, and just two minutes in, Edvin Nilsson increased the lead to 1-3. In the 58th minute, Axel Rosberg received a yellow card, but that did not prevent Mattias Olsson from scoring a penalty, making it 1-4 for Vanstads IF in the 69th minute.
Brösarps IF tried to stay in the match and managed to score a header by Robin Nilsson in the 73rd minute. However, Vanstads IF continued to push and Anton Dagner managed to make it 2-5 in the 80th minute. Then Edvin Nilsson completed a Hat Trick, sealing the deal with his goal in the 85th minute, which made it 2-6.
Vanstads IF dominated both the offensive and defensive play, and Brösarps IF struggled to reach their level, despite support from their home crowd of 50 people. The match thus ended in a well-deserved victory for Vanstads IF, solidifying both teams' positions in the league table.
After the match, Brösarps IF remains at the bottom of the table, while Vanstads IF leads Division 5 Skåne Östra with 21 points, six points ahead of the second-placed team.
