Vanstads IF secured a convincing victory against Åhus IF away in Division 5 Skåne Östra men's football. At Åhus IP A-plan, the teams met on Wednesday evening in a match attended by only 40 spectators.
It was the visiting team, Vanstads IF, who took the lead early in the match when Edvin Nilsson found the back of the net after seven minutes. However, the home team fought back and equalized through Elias Berg after 20 minutes.
But it didn't take long for Vanstads to regain the lead when Viktor Rosberg scored immediately after the break, and just four minutes later, Edvin Nilsson found the net again, marking his second goal of the day and the third for Vanstads.
Martin Wellerup Andersson increased the lead to 4-1 for Vanstads after 66 minutes, and the home team, Åhus IF, was struggling. Adrian Karimani also received a yellow card for Åhus IF in the 71st minute, and ten minutes later, Love Offerlind Nordgren scored his first goal of the day, extending Vanstads' lead to 5-1.
Elias Berg from Åhus IF also received a yellow card in the 87th minute, but it did not change the outcome. Sebastian Siversson reduced the deficit for Åhus IF in the final minutes, but it was only a consolation. The match ultimately ended 5-2 in favor of Vanstads IF, who took a much-needed victory against a seemingly stronger Åhus IF on paper.
