Sjöbo IF secured an important victory at home in Division 5 Skåne East when they defeated Åhus Horna BK 2-1 in front of an audience of 300 at Sjöbo IP A-plan. The visitors from Åhus managed to take the lead after just 13 minutes of play through Edin Alic and created several dangerous chances during the first half. However, Sjöbo IF equalized in the 31st minute through Albin Jönsson, who capitalized on a fine pass from Viktor Nielsen and struck the ball into the top corner.
The second half was a more balanced affair with several heated duels and tough tackles. Sjöbo IF's Fabian Karlsson received a yellow card in the 40th minute, and the guests' Omid Shateri was cautioned in a similar manner just a few minutes earlier.
