Åhus IF met Sjöbo IF in a Division 5 Skåne Östra meeting at Åhus IP A ground in front of an audience of 100 people on Wednesday evening. Referee Tobias Andersson and his assistants Milot Stagova and Nathir Al-Kaabi led the match.
It was Sjöbo IF who took the lead after 15 minutes of play when Melker Åkesson put the ball in the net. Fabian Nilsson extended Sjöbo IF's lead to 0-2 after 30 minutes.
Sjöbo IF's André Wihlborg was sent off after 39 minutes, but Åhus IF only managed to reduce through Martin Wendt's header in the 47th minute.
But Sjöbo IF continued to dominate the match and Viktor Nielsen scored the team's third goal after 51 minutes. Åhus IF did not give up and Sebastian Siversson reduced the score to 2-3 two minutes later.
But Sjöbo IF held their heads high and continued to impress. Viktor Nielsen scored his second goal of the night in the 56th minute before Fabian Karlsson made it 2-5 in the 69th minute.
Åhus IF's Marius Kisswani received a caution after 77 minutes before Sjöbo IF's Viktor Nielsen took charge and scored his third goal of the evening on a penalty in the 77th minute.
Melker Åkesson became the hero of the match for Sjöbo IF when he scored a hat trick. He made it 2-6 in the 80th minute before scoring two more goals in short order. First he made it 2-8 in the 82nd minute before finishing the evening's events by making it 2-9 in the 88th minute.
Sjöbo IF won the match convincingly 2-9 and took important points in Division 5 Skåne Östra.
