On a cold and rainy afternoon, Åhus IF and Spjutstorps IF met at Åhus IP's A-pitch in a match that would determine the outcome of the season. Despite the absence of spectators, there was tension in the air when referee Jonatan Berglund blew the whistle to start the match.
It was the visiting Spjutstorps IF who took the lead after 26 minutes. Joar Nilsson seized a fine pass and placed the ball neatly into the net behind Åhus IF's goalkeeper. The home team responded quickly, and five minutes later, Gustav Nilosjö equalized to 1-1.
The match continued with tough challenges, and several yellow cards were issued by the referee. In the 86th minute, Spjutstorps IF's Khaled Matini was sent off after receiving his second yellow card of the match.
