It was a lovely Friday evening when Stehags AIF hosted Marieholms IS at Gyavallen. The crowd was present and expectations were high ahead of the match in Division 5 Skåne West.
The match started well for the home team Stehags AIF, who took the lead in the twelfth minute through Haris Puhovic. However, Marieholms IS didn't give up and managed to equalize through Erik Daniel Persson in the 40th minute.
It was a balanced match, but Stehags AIF displayed better efficiency in front of goal, scoring two goals in quick succession. First, it was Jesper Eliasson who nodded in a nice ball in the 52nd minute, followed by Karl Nilsson, who scored his first goal of the match in the 58th minute.
Marieholms IS continued to fight and managed to reduce the lead through Jesper Olsson in the 53rd minute, but no more goals came for the visitors, who struggled to break through the home team’s defense.
Stehags AIF continued to dominate the match and added two more goals through Pontus Andersson in the 85th minute and Ludvig Nilsson in the 88th minute, both from free kicks.
The match ended 6-2 in favor of Stehags AIF, who could celebrate with their fans in the stands. Referee Hajrudin Aljic had a calm and good match, while assistant referees Johan Fridh and Ammar Ademovic did a great job along the sidelines.
