IFK Västervik took the lead in the league after an impressive victory on Friday evening at Bökensved. The home team took control of the match from the start and already after 17 minutes, Edvin Ringenhag scored the 1-0 goal following a nice attack.

Just six minutes later, Ringenhag was in the right place again and scored to make it 2-0. And it only got better for IFK Västervik. In the 33rd minute, Ringenhag completed his hat trick, scoring his third goal of the match. A fantastic performance by the forward.

IFK then focused on maintaining control of the game, and HM IS struggled to create chances. Instead, Kliton Bakiu converted a penalty to make it 4-0 in the 55th minute.

HM IS found consolation when Teodor Berggren scored their first goal of the match in the 70th minute. But IFK quickly regained control and scored three goals in eight minutes. Emil Bränning, Emil Dahlström Dolaku, and Jesper Garstedt all got on the scoresheet before Oskar Åberg sealed the deal with the 8-1 goal in the 82nd minute.

It was a very convincing victory for IFK Västervik, showcasing good qualities both offensively and defensively. HM IS will need to improve to challenge at the top of the table.
