Friday night's match between Ankarsrums IS and IF Stjärnan at Bruksliden in Ankarsrum turned out to be a real nail-biter for the spectators in the stands. Despite only 61 attendees, the teams put on a full-throttle performance on the pitch.
The match started at a high tempo, and IF Stjärnan took an early lead in the 18th minute through Gabriel Karlsson. Just minutes later, the team extended their lead to 0-2 with a goal from Sebastian Karlsson. However, Ankarsrums IS didn’t let this discourage them, and in the 23rd minute, Robin Thorén Johansson reduced the score to 1-2. In the 34th minute, Micheale Shambel Habtu then equalized to 2-2, and the match was once again completely open.
The first yellow card of the match was issued to Ankarsrums IS's Christoffer Björk in the 35th minute. Just before halftime, IF Stjärnan managed to take the lead again through Joakim Berggren, making the score 2-3.
In the second half, it was Ankarsrums IS that controlled the game and created most of the chances. In the 61st minute, they got their reward when Hadi Ammar equalized to 3-3. IF Stjärnan’s Christoffer Nilsson received a yellow card in the 67th minute, and the match continued with high intensity. Then, in the 74th minute, IF Stjärnan regained the lead thanks to Joakim Berggren, who scored his team’s fourth goal of the match. Ankarsrums IS desperately tried to equalize once more, but the score held, and the match ended 3-4 in favor of IF Stjärnan.
IF Stjärnan's coach, Magnus Kroon, received a yellow card in the 55th minute, and in the 86th minute, Sebastian Karlsson also got a yellow card. IF Stjärnan’s Patric Fransson was also cautioned in the last minute of the match. Referee Mohamad Alsheikho and assistant referees Vagif Rustamov and Aron Gunta managed the match well and maintained order on the field. It was an exciting match filled with many highlights and intense moments for both the players and the spectators.
