IF Stjärnan steamrolled HM IS with a score of 7-1 at Slättvallen in Mariannelund in a match that was never particularly close. Just 15 minutes into the game, the visitors took the lead through Jimmie Karlsson's header from a corner kick. Karlsson continued to impress, scoring the second goal of the match in the 18th minute after a nice pass from Emil Ulmborg, who would also prove to be one of the standout players of the match. The icing on the cake was Ulmborg's first goal in the 34th minute when he elegantly rounded HM IS's goalkeeper and placed the ball into the net.
HM IS attempted to rally after the halftime break, but it was sadly in vain as Robin Nilsson scored his first goal of the match after a fine run in the 50th minute. Jimmie Karlsson then dazzled once more by scoring his third goal and the sixth of the match in the 56th minute. However, HM IS could console themselves with a goal in the 41st minute when Erik Stejdahl managed to outsmart IF Stjärnan's goalkeeper after a nice attack.
The match unfortunately also featured some nasty tackles and a lack of respect for the referees' decisions. Both HM IS's Emil Sjökvist and the team's contact person, Roger Olofsson, received yellow cards in the 77th minute for hard tackles. IF Stjärnan's Jesper Fransson would then conclude the match positively by scoring his team's seventh and final goal in the second minute of added time.
The final score was 7-1 in favor of IF Stjärnan, who showcased a wonderfully efficient and cohesive style of football. The attendance was 55 people who faithfully cheered for their HM IS, but now witnessed their team leave the field with a heavy defeat in tow. The referee team, consisting of Shpëtim Feneri, Rodon Sulejmani, and Henrik Blomgren, did a solid job and managed to keep the intense atmosphere of the match somewhat in check.
