It was a lovely Friday evening at Mälarhöjdens IP when Årsta FF faced Sköndals IK FK in Division 5 Stockholm C for women. Although the crowd was smaller than expected, it was an exciting match that provided plenty of entertaining goals.
It didn't take long for Årsta FF to take the lead in the match. In the 29th minute, Derya Saleh struck a fine shot and sent the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0. The team continued to press, and in the 40th minute, it was once again Derya Saleh who stepped up to extend the lead to 2-0 for Årsta FF.
After a strong start to the second half, Derya Saleh continued to be active on the field and completed her hat trick in the 56th minute with a beautiful goal to make it 3-0. Årsta FF continued to dominate, and in the 79th minute, Alice Bengtzon Scheéle increased the lead to 4-0.
But Sköndals IK FK didn’t give up, and in the 86th minute, they managed to pull one back through Ida Tilemo, making it 4-1. However, the joy was short-lived for Sköndals IK FK as Årsta FF immediately responded in the 88th minute with another goal from Alice Bengtzon Scheéle, bringing the final score to 5-1.
Referee Fadi Gergis then blew the final whistle, and Årsta FF could celebrate a convincing victory. An impressive performance by Derya Saleh with her hat trick, and a strong team effort from Årsta FF, who showcased good play and efficiency in front of goal. Sköndals IK FK fought valiantly but had to accept defeat on this evening.
