It was a sunny Friday evening at Västberga IP 1 when Långholmen FC was poised to host BK Gamla Karlbergare in a Division 5 match. Unfortunately, the interest from the audience was not high that evening, as only 14 people gathered in the stands.
Referee Delmon Haffo blew the whistle to start the match at 8:00 PM, and it didn’t take long for the visitors to take the lead. Just in the 5th minute, Stefan Grantorp managed to put the ball behind Långholmen’s goalkeeper, giving BK Gamla Karlbergare a dream start.
Only three minutes later, Erik Alexandersson extended the lead to 0-2 after a great pass from Stefan Grantorp. The home team tried to find their way back into the game, but in the 36th minute, John Trollsås received a yellow card after a tough tackle.
BK Gamla Karlbergare continued to dominate the match, and in the 38th minute, they made it 0-3 with a well-placed shot from one of their midfielders. However, Långholmen did not give up, and at the end of the first half, André Martins Pinheiro Amado reduced the score to 1-3 after a great individual effort.
The second half began just like the first, with a goal from BK Gamla Karlbergare. This time it was Jens Nilsson who struck in the 58th minute. In the 66th minute, Nils Andrén made it 1-5, and just 9 minutes later, Karl Axel Johan Dahlberg scored 1-6.
Just before full time, Långholmen managed to grab a consolation goal through an own goal from BK Gamla Karlbergare, but it was not enough to avoid a loss of 2-6. Långholmen’s Jonas Evaeus was also sent off in the 89th minute after receiving two yellow cards in the same match.
BK Gamla Karlbergare could thus head home with three points and continue their pursuit of a top position in Division 5, while Långholmen FC had to regroup for their next match.
