An exciting match in Division 5 Uppland Södra took place on Sunday afternoon between Enköpings IS and IFK Uppsala 2 at Korsängen A Artificial Turf in Enköping. The attendance was small, with only 22 people making their way to the venue, but the atmosphere was great when referee William Jonsson blew the whistle to start the match at 4:00 PM. The assistant referees were Ibrahim Mohammed and Anas Alsarmini.
It was IFK Uppsala 2 that took the lead early in the match with a beautiful goal from Filip Cekol in the fourth minute. After that, the red-clad team from Uppsala had several good chances to increase their lead, and it wasn't long before Isac Barkfeldt made it 0-2 in the 22nd minute.
Enköpings IS tried to find their way back into the match, but it wasn't until the 63rd minute that Tony Joacim Forsström Skeppar reduced the score to 1-2. Forsström Skeppar was in fine form, and just six minutes later, he equalized to 2-2.
IFK Uppsala 2 worked hard to regain the lead, and in the 78th minute, they were rewarded. Jonathan Ahlinder made it 2-3 for the away team, and the cheers from the IFK Uppsala bench were deafening.
The match was intense, with many hard tackles, leading to several warnings. Elias Wallin from IFK Uppsala 2 and Tony Joacim Forsström Skeppar from Enköpings IS both received yellow cards. Jonathan Ahlinder and Elliot Seiler from IFK Uppsala 2 also got cautioned.
Despite Enköpings IS pushing hard at the end of the match, they could not succeed in equalizing again, and the match ended 2-3 in favor of IFK Uppsala 2. The visitors from Uppsala were able to take home three points and continue their fight at the top of the table, while Enköpings IS will have to regroup for their upcoming matches.
