On a sunny Sunday afternoon, IK Apollon faced off against Syrianska FF at the Johannesbäckskolan artificial turf. Only 30 spectators were present, but they were not disappointed by the goal fest that was to come. The match was officiated by Rasmus Falk, assisted by Love Ahlgren and Abdulkadir Abdulle.
Already in the sixth minute, IK Apollon took the lead through Christos Gkoumas, who scored after a nice attack. Gkoumas had an outstanding match and would make his presence known on the field several more times.
It wasn't until the 27th minute that Apollon doubled their lead to 2-0, once again through Christos Gkoumas. Towards the end of the first half, Djordje Jankovic fired a hard shot into the net, and Apollon went into halftime with a comfortable 3-0 lead.
Syrianska FF needed a fast start in the second half, and they got it when Abdulazeez Amuzat scored a nice reduction in the 54th minute. But IK Apollon responded instantly, and just a minute later, Omeed Khalil made it 4-1.
Syrianska FF didn't give up, and Andreas Ahosson put the ball in the net in the 62nd minute to reduce the score to 4-2, but IK Apollon displayed tremendous strength and continued to press forward.
In the 82nd minute, Konstantinos Eleftheriadis made it 5-2, and then it was time for Alan Ücmaz to write his name on the scoreboard, making it 6-2 for IK Apollon. Syrianska FF received two yellow cards in the closing stages of the match, while IK Apollon’s Ervis Pasha and Mannos Nakos also received bookings.
Christos Gkoumas from IK Apollon was not satisfied with just two goals; he scored his third of the match in stoppage time, bringing the final score to 7-2. It was an impressive performance from IK Apollon, showcasing an effective offense to win the match.
