On this Saturday at ICA Maxi Välsviken Arena, Norrstrands IF faced Åtorps IF in a very interesting match. Norrstrands IF had a strong year and was in fourth place in the Division 5 Värmland Östra table. Åtorps IF had struggled a bit more and was second to last. With that said, no one knew how the match would develop. But one thing was certain - both teams would give it their all!
The match started with a yellow card for Åtorps IF's Oscar Gustavsson in the fifth minute and a yellow card for Norrstrands IF's Zack Kringsberg in the thirteenth minute. Åtorps IF opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute through Andreas Skoglund. However, Norrstrands IF did not let that get them down and equalized in the twenty-fifth minute through Jonatan Svensson. Just nine minutes later, Norrstrands IF took the lead through Oscar Aronsson. Elias Ferm then scored Norrstrands IF's third goal just before half-time.
In the second half, both teams made several substitutions. Åtorps IF substituted Jesper Hidman for Andreas Ågren in the forty-fifth minute, while Norrstrands IF replaced Zack Kringsberg with David Eklund, Martin Perkovic, and Joel Lander. Åtorps IF tried to recover, but Norrstrands IF was too strong. Jonatan Svensson scored his second goal and thus clinched a hat trick with the very match ball!
Closer to the end, Åtorps IF substituted Oscar Gustavsson and William Gustavsson for Johan Nordström and Hugo Stender. Norrstrands IF continued to push forward, and Arvid Bertilsson and Emil Karlström got playing time on the pitch. The final score was 5-1 in favor of Norrstrands IF. They ended the season in an outstanding fourth place in the table, while Åtorps IF finished second to last.
It was a good match, even though it wasn’t very attractive to spectators, with only thirty-nine people in the stands. Mohammad Ahmadi was an excellent referee, and his assistants, Mohammed Alhalaf and Samim Al-Saffar, were incredible! Both teams fought hard, and Norrstrands IF proved to be the stronger team. Hat trick to Jonatan Svensson! We look forward to seeing what next season offers for both teams.
