IF Örnen won convincingly when they hosted Värmskogs SK at Sparbanksvallen 1. Just 18 minutes into the match, the home team took the lead with a beautiful strike from Simon Davidsson, who curled the ball into the far corner. Värmskogs' Henrik Keve Gustafsson received a yellow card in the 31st minute. After that, it was IF Örnen who dominated the remainder of the first half. Martin Portén extended the lead in the 33rd minute, and Karl Bryntesson made it 3-0 just seven minutes later.
At halftime, Värmskogs SK substituted Johan Hjärt in place of Christer Carlsson in an attempt to change the game's dynamics.
