It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at Ekebyvallen when Rottneros IK hosted Värmskogs SK in Division 5 Värmland Västra. In front of an empty stand, whose protective noise normally provides comfort to the players, Rottneros IK got started right away.
Just nine minutes in, after a fine pass from midfielder Yussuf Abdisitar, forward Francesco Gasparello scored and put the ball in the net behind the Värmskogs goalkeeper. Only three minutes later, Gustav Andersson arrived to increase the lead to 2-0. Rottneros continued to dominate the match. After 15 minutes, it was 3-0 after Andersson scored once again.
Värmskogs SK battled hard but struggled to keep pace with Rottneros’ offensive. In the 27th minute, Emil Sundeskog scored, and seven minutes later, Francesco Gasparello struck again, making it 5-0.
Olle Karlsson then scored in the 37th minute, and three minutes later, Gustav Andersson completed his hat trick with his third goal. By halftime, Rottneros IK had full control with a commanding 7-0 lead.
In the second half, Rottneros IK continued to dominate the match. Marcel Toorneman scored as early as the 48th minute, and Yussuf Abdisitar added another goal in the 67th minute.
Despite Värmskogs SK substituting Alfred Kumm, Erik Toftling, and Ulf Pettersson in an attempt to break Rottneros’ dominance, the joy of playing among Rottneros players continued. Yussuf Abdisitar scored his second goal in the 76th minute, and Guuleed Siciid Faarax made it 10-0 just two minutes later. In the 82nd minute, Guuleed Siciid Faarax netted his second goal, marking the match’s eleventh goal.
In the end, Rottneros IK won with an impressive score of 11-0. A true display of dominance from the home team that left the attendance of zero spectators with a lot to talk about. Referee Ali Reza Jahfari and his assistant referees, Sem Tedros Zerue and Mujib Rahman Anwari, had an easy day at work, witnessing a football match that was a pure exhibition from the home team that never conceded a single goal.
