FC Corner secured a clear victory at home against Korsberga IF in Sunday’s soccer match in Division 5 Västergötland North. In front of a modest crowd of 35 people at Stenportsplan, we witnessed a tough battle between the two teams.
Korsberga IF started strong and took the lead after just nine minutes of play when Joel Tengbert scored with a header, making it 0-1. However, FC Corner did not let this discourage them and equalized seven minutes later through Qodrat Akbari, a scoreline that held until halftime.
In the second half, FC Corner increased the pressure, and it didn’t take long before Egzon Restelica struck with two quick goals in the 54th and 58th minutes. Restelica continued to score and completed his hat-trick with his third goal in the match after 75 minutes of play. FC Corner now led 5-1, and the game seemed settled.
Korsberga IF fought until the end and managed to reduce the score with a header from Martin "Trix" Karlsson in the 85th minute, but it was too late to threaten FC Corner's victory in the match. The final score was 5-2 in favor of FC Corner.
Referee Agron Dinaj, along with assistant referees Joakim Göthberg and Oscar Johansson, kept the match under control without any major incidents, but two yellow cards were issued in the first half – one to Joel Tengbert from Korsberga IF and one to Haris Jusovic from FC Corner.
