Marstrands BK dominated from the first to the last minute in Sunday’s match against Bergums IF at Ytterns IP 1 Artificial Turf in Gothenburg. At full time, the score read 5-0 in favor of the home team in Division 6 Gothenburg A.
The match started evenly, but Marstrands BK quickly showed their superiority. After 17 minutes of play, Wiggo Arneson received the ball from a cross and made no mistakes as he precision shot it into the net for 1-0. Just seven minutes later, it was Arneson again who increased the lead by heading in a corner, making it 2-0.
Bergums IF struggled to get back into the game, but Marstrand's defense was too solid. Instead, Marstrands increased their lead further, scoring 3-0 after a nice through ball from Herman Rangaard that put the ball behind the Bergums goalkeeper.
In the second half, Marstrands continued to dominate while Bergums IF had difficulty creating chances. Marstrands scored two more goals, first when Simon Andersson tapped the ball into an open goal after the Bergums goalkeeper misjudged a cross, and then Ebubekir Tünay extended the lead to 5-0 when he was played through and finished with a nice right-footed shot into the net.
The match concluded with a yellow card for Marstrands’ Axel Blom, but it did not affect the result. Marstrands BK won the match easily with 5-0 and thus took over the league lead.
