It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Sundsparken when Fågelsta AIF welcomed Medevi IF in a heated match in Division 6 Östergötland Västra. Despite the absence of spectators due to restrictions, the teams played with great intensity in front of referee Robert Karlsson.
It didn't take long before Fågelsta AIF took the lead through Ifet Siljak in the 23rd minute, and just six minutes later, Richard Markusson doubled the lead to 2-0. Shortly thereafter, Siljak received a warning, but that did not stop the team from continuing to push forward. Before halftime, Yaser Kirawan made it 3-0 for the home team.
In the second half, Fågelsta continued to dominate as Kirawan scored his second goal of the day after only six minutes of play. Medevi IF tried to get back into the match, and Teodor Ekman reduced the score to 4-1 in the 54th minute.
The match became increasingly heated with several warnings issued to both Fågelsta and Medevi. In the 66th minute, Alexander Eriksson managed to convert a penalty for Medevi, bringing the score to 4-2. But Fågelsta quickly responded with goals from Siljak and Markusson, both of whom scored to extend the lead to 6-2.
Despite a late goal from Jimmy Hjelm in the 89th minute, Medevi could not come back into the match, and Fågelsta AIF ultimately emerged victorious with a score of 6-3. A well-executed match by the home team, who earned three important points in their pursuit of the league title.
