Viby IF hosted IK Kamp in Division 6 Skåne Nordöstra A for men at Grönängen A-plan in front of an audience of 50 people on Saturday afternoon. The match was officiated by Jimmy Rooth, with no assistant referee appointed.
The match started with a high tempo and it was Viby IF that found the net first. Emmanuel Omotayo received the ball and scored the opening goal for the home team in the 18th minute. Viby IF continued to push forward, and just three minutes later, Otto Valdemarsson extended the lead to 2-0.
IK Kamp tried to put pressure on Viby IF but instead received two yellow cards in quick succession: first to Dennis Ekenberg in the 44th minute and then to Christoffer Skoog in the 50th minute.
Viby IF maintained control, and in the 61st minute, Marcus Almborg scored with a header, giving Viby IF a third goal and a comfortable lead of 3-0.
IK Kamp never gave up, and after a couple of half-chances, Mahdi Abbasi managed to score IK Kamp’s first goal, shortening the deficit to 3-1 in the 74th minute.
However, it never got particularly exciting towards the end. Viby IF extended their lead to 4-1 with a goal from Otto Valdemarsson in the 77th minute. Even though Dennis Ekenberg scored a second goal for IK Kamp in the 80th minute, it was too late for IK Kamp to make a comeback.
The match ended 4-2 in favor of Viby IF, which was a much-needed victory for the team. Viby IF displayed confident play and efficiency in attack, while IK Kamp fought hard but could not match the home side.
