It was a delightful match at Huaröds IP A-plan in the northeastern part of Skåne when Huaröds IF hosted visiting Linderöds IF in Division 6.
In front of an audience of zero, with Sejdi Karaliti as the main referee and Nathir Al-Kaabi and Xhevat Grabanica as assistant referees, the match started promptly at 19:00 on the evening of Friday, June 2, 2023.
Huaröds IF, who were ninth in the table before the match, had a tough start when the visiting Linderöds IF took the lead in the twelfth minute. Christian Billgren scored with a nice counterattack that sent the ball past the home team's goalkeeper.
However, the home team had other plans, and just one minute later, Sadik Halitaj equalized to 1-1 after a fine pass from Omar Zarini. It was to be a tough match for both teams, and in the 23rd minute, Linderöds IF regained the lead when Abdelbasit Musa Mahmoud found the net with a well-placed header.
But Huaröds IF showed strength and fighting spirit, and after a nice free kick from Omar Zarini, the ball found its way into the net, bringing the match to 2-2.
In the second half, the visiting Linderöds IF received three yellow cards, and Huaröds IF continued to fight to decide the match. However, despite several good scoring opportunities for both sides, neither team could take the lead one final time. The match ended 2-2.
A result that perhaps did not favor either team, but still reflects a tough match with two hard-fighting teams. Both Huaröds IF and Linderöds IF can be proud of their performance on the field.
