IF Salamis turned things around in Monday evening's match against Västra Karups FK at Spannarps IP A-plan. Despite an early lead for the away team, the home team managed to come back and win 2-1 in front of an audience of 32 spectators.
It was Västra Karups FK that took the lead in the 24th minute through Jesper Larsson, who finished a nice attacking play by putting the ball into the top corner. IF Salamis fought to get back into the game, and their efforts were rewarded in the 68th minute when Jonas Lendrén equalized to 1-1.
Just two minutes later, IF Salamis was awarded a penalty, which Lendrén confidently converted to score his second goal of the evening. Although Västra Karups FK tried to push for an equalizer, they could not find the back of the net, and the match ended 2-1 in favor of IF Salamis.
It was a hard-fought effort from both teams, but it was IF Salamis that managed to come out on top and take three important points in Division 6 Skåne Nordvästra A. Referee Florim Nikqi maintained good control over the match, although several warnings were issued to players from both teams during the course of the game.
