It was a sunny Thursday afternoon at Västra Ingelstad IP when Västra Ingelstad IS faced Skivarps GoIF in Division 6 Skåne Södra, the men's league. Both teams were eager and ready for a tough match in front of the 155 spectators who had come to support.
The match started with an unexpected lead for the visiting Skivarps GoIF, as Hassan El-Dawi scored an early goal just three minutes in. However, Västra Ingelstad IS did not let themselves be too discouraged, and after sixteen minutes, Erik Björkman equalized the match with a nice goal. Björkman was in top form during the match and was one of the stars of the game as he went on to score two more goals, one in the 28th minute and another in the 47th minute, the latter being a very sharp penalty.
Västra Ingelstad IS had complete control of the match, and in the 31st minute, Måns Eriksson scored a header to increase the lead to 3-1. Skivarps GoIF tried to regain control of the game, but Västra Ingelstad IS's defense was well-organized and held off all attacks.
Things went from bad to worse for the visiting Skivarps GoIF when Philip Hansson was sent off in the 60th minute, and Anton Jörgensen Svensson managed to score a fifth goal for Västra Ingelstad IS just a few minutes later.
It was an incredible performance from Västra Ingelstad IS, as they managed to win the match 5-1. Skivarps GoIF was not entirely satisfied with the result, and coach Stefan Karlsson received a warning for his unprofessional behavior during the match. Meanwhile, Moslem Khodayi and Vedat Ömer managed to keep order in the match as the assistant referees.
It was a wonderful day for Västra Ingelstad IS, who secured a well-deserved victory on home turf and played fantastic football.
