On the desolate Impevallen A-field, Gröstorps IF faced Hammenhögs IF in a match in Division 6. Unfortunately, there was no audience present to see the match, despite the lovely Wednesday evening. The referee for the evening was Peter Pecovnik, assisted by Emrah Nikocevic and Sejdi Karaliti.
The match started at 19:00, and it didn't take long before Gröstorps IF took the lead. After 22 minutes of play, number 14, Stefan Pettersson, scored, and Gröstorps IF led 1-0. Shortly after, in the 28th minute, Kim Sjölin extended the lead to 2-0. Unfortunately for Hammenhögs IF, Gröstorps IF scored another goal through Måns Nilsson in the 68th minute. For Hammenhögs IF, Marcus Sassersson reduced the score to 3-1 in the 70th minute with a header. But in the 79th minute, Emil Löfvall converted a penalty for Gröstorps IF, increasing the lead to 4-1. The match concluded with a fine performance from Andreas Björborn, who scored in the 87th minute, finalizing the score at 5-1 for Gröstorps IF.
Gröstorps IF proved to be the better team of the evening and won convincingly with a score of 5-1. We can only hope that the next match has more spectators and more excitement!
