It was a rainy Sunday at Vapenvallen 3 Sotarvallen when the Division 6 Småland match kicked off between Husqvarna IF and IFK Österbymo. The audience consisted of only 20 people, but that did not stop the teams from battling it out on the field.
It was IFK Österbymo who took the lead after 36 minutes when Dennis Öst skillfully scored 1-0 following a lovely pass from his teammate. Husqvarna IF refused to be defeated and equalized seven minutes into the second half when Alban Imeri scored his first goal of the day.
But the joy for the home team was short-lived, as Dennis Öst found the net again just four minutes later and completed his hat trick only a couple of minutes after that. Husqvarna IF received a warning for a tackle, which was a clear indication of how frustrated they felt.
IFK Österbymo continued to dominate the match, adding another goal through Olle Gustafsson in the 68th minute. Liban Hassan then followed up with a goal in the 79th minute, and when Dennis Öst scored his fourth goal of the day from a free kick, it was clear that IFK Österbymo had won the match.
Husqvarna IF did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit in the 88th minute when Fevzi Ismail Hasan scored his first goal of the match. Unfortunately, it was too late for a comeback attempt.
The match ended 6-2 in favor of IFK Österbymo, who had shown their superiority throughout the match and finished the season in fourth place in the table. Husqvarna IF ended the season in seventh place.
