It was a lovely Sunday at IP Böda when Böda-Högby hosted Läckeby GoIF in a match in Division 6 Småland Kalmar/Öland, men's category. Although it was not the most popular match of the week, a nice crowd had still gathered in the stands to support their favorites. Referee Anders Stenberg blew the whistle to start the match at 12:00.
Böda-Högby seemed to have more energy at the beginning of the match, and in the 24th minute they took the lead with a score of 1-0 thanks to a goal from Axel Petersson. Läckeby GoIF tried to get the game going and create some opportunities going forward, but their efforts did not yield any results. Instead, they conceded another goal in the 36th minute when Petersson struck again, sending the ball into the net for Böda-Högby, even with a header.
The first half was coming to an end, but before the referee blew the whistle, Petersson completed his hat-trick with Böda-Högby’s third goal of the match. The score was 3-0 to Böda-Högby at halftime.
At the start of the second half, Böda-Högby continued to dominate the game. Filip Jonsson scored in the 47th minute, and Christian Berg increased the lead to 5-0 in the 60th minute. Eight minutes later, Jonsson scored his second goal of the day, sealing the final score at 6-0 for Böda-Högby.
The match was intense and featured several tough duels, with the referee issuing a few yellow cards to keep the players in check. Läckeby GoIF attempted to mount an attacking game but struggled to find the right way past Böda-Högby’s solid defensive line.
After 90 minutes, Böda-Högby had completely dominated their opponent and won the match 6-0. It was a delightful afternoon for the home fans, who could leave satisfied after an outstanding performance from their team.
