On a sunny Saturday afternoon in Oskarshamn, Fårbo FF and Fågelfors IF faced off at Riavallen in front of an audience of 128 people. The referee for the day was Thomas Melzén.
The match started at a high pace, and already in the fifth minute, Fågelfors IF was awarded a penalty after a questionable situation in the Fårbo cluster. Patrick Karlsson stepped up and confidently placed the ball into the net behind the Fårbo goalkeeper. 0-1 to the visiting team!
However, Fårbo continued to fight, and after 32 minutes, they equalized. A nice pass from Wille Palmquist landed at the feet of Emil Semaan, who advanced towards the goal and took a shot. The ball indeed hit the post, but after a bit of a scramble in the goal area, it was Wille Palmquist who managed to push the ball into the net. Standing ovations from the home crowd!
An important final quarter awaited Fårbo after falling behind early in the match. Unfortunately for the home team, it didn't take long before Wille Palmquist made a reckless tackle on a Fågelfors player and received a yellow card. Another warning was issued to Fårbo with ten minutes left in the match when Emil Semaan was a bit too aggressive in a challenge.
The match ultimately ended in a draw, and Fårbo FF could calculate that they had secured a third place in the table. The crowd at Riavallen at least got to witness a fast-paced match between two very evenly matched teams.
