Just two minutes in, Barva IF put pressure on Stenkvista GoIF and Sebastian Mossberg managed to score, giving them a 1-0 lead. Barva IF continued to dominate, and Henrik Espenäs extended the lead to 2-0 with a header in the 17th minute.
However, Stenkvista GoIF did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Alexander Mellqvist in the 26th minute, reigniting their hopes. Mikael Johansson Franzell then equalized the match with his goal in the 35th minute.
