This evening, Kilimanjaro FF faced Väsby FF at Ärvinge BP 1 in Division 6 Stockholm A for men. However, the match lacked an audience, which made the atmosphere somewhat flat. Referee Damir Skoko officiated the game.
Already after eleven minutes, Väsby FF took the lead through Pierre-Daniel El Alam, who struck a powerful shot that the Kilimanjaro goalkeeper could not save. Just two minutes later, El Alam was on target again, this time sending the ball into the top corner. Kilimanjaro’s captain raised his fists to the sky and looked resigned.
Väsby FF continued to dominate the game, and in the eighteenth minute, they extended their lead, this time through Theo Egerbladh. Kilimanjaro tried to apply pressure on Väsby but were unsuccessful.
In the 42nd minute, Abui Fuad Rashid received a yellow card after bringing down a Väsby player. Two minutes later, Andreas Grafström received a warning on the other side after a foul tackle.
However, Kilimanjaro didn’t give up, and just before halftime, Mgaya Juma Kalulu reduced the score to 1-3 after a nice pass from the midfielder. Kilimanjaro wanted to score at least one more goal before the break, but no further goals came.
In the second half, Kilimanjaro continued to fight for an equalizer but struggled to find their rhythm. Instead, more yellow cards were issued on both sides.
In the 71st minute, Shekhan Rashid Abdallah got hold of the ball and managed to score Kilimanjaro’s second goal by curling a shot from distance. The Kilimanjaro fans cheered, but it turned out to be too late.
In the final minutes, Kilimanjaro tried to push hard, but Väsby held on and won 3-2. Carlos Holmqvist and Karl Lundell also received yellow cards for Väsby just before the final whistle. Kilimanjaro's coach looked a bit disappointed after the match but promised that the team would fight back in the next match.
