Högalids IF welcomed Saltsjöbadens IF at Zinkensdamms IP 1 for an exciting Division 6 match on Saturday afternoon. With 40 people in attendance and Ahmet Akcan as the referee, the match kicked off at 14:00.
Saltsjöbadens IF started the match strongly, and already in the 27th minute, Markus Öberg managed to put the ball in the net and take the lead with 0-1. However, Högalids IF quickly regrouped, and in the 41st minute, Olle Siösteen converted a penalty to equalize at 1-1.
Saltsjöbadens IF did not hold back; on the contrary, in the 44th minute, Öberg scored his second goal and regained the lead at 1-2.
Högalids IF, however, was not satisfied with that, and in the 50th minute, Andre Williams managed to equalize to 2-2, adding excitement back into the match.
Saltsjöbadens IF received two yellow cards, with Hugo Sparrman getting cautioned in the 53rd minute and Gustav Hellquist in the 60th minute.
Högalids IF continued to press, and in the 67th minute, Johan Elvin scored, taking the lead at 3-2. In the 71st minute, it was Williams' turn again, as he scored his second goal of the match and extended the lead to 4-2.
Saltsjöbadens IF picked up another yellow card, this time for Joel Gebremeskel in the 85th minute. But it hardly made a difference, as Högalids IF, just minutes later, in the 90th minute, saw Erik Rappling score to set the final result at 5-2 in favor of Högalids IF.
After an exciting match with many goals and warnings, Högalids IF left the field as the winners. Saltsjöbadens IF now has to plan how to bounce back from the loss in their next match.
