Funbo IF crushed Almo BK at Vargspåret IP 1 in Division 6 Uppland East men's football with a score of 7-1. The match kicked off on a calm afternoon on Saturday, May 6th. In the stands, 40 pairs of eyes were on the teams. Referee Theodor Hovberg controlled the match from the center and was able to register an eventful game with plenty of goal chances.
Funbo IF demonstrated their dominance just ten minutes into the game when Axel Skoglund opened the scoring for the home team. Skoglund would go on to score two more, resulting in a hat trick for the star player and giving the home team a comfortable 3-0 lead at half-time.
The guests from Almo BK struggled and failed to present significant resistance. Funbo, on the other hand, continued to pursue goals, and in the 58th minute, the fourth goal hit the net.
Alexander Åhl raised the excitement with a fifth goal for Funbo in the 71st minute. But Almo had not said their last word and managed to shine with a consolation goal from Noah Kimbumbu in the 77th minute. However, it was far too little and far too late.
Towards the end, Funbo IF managed to score two more goals, with Liam Ramshaw and Axel Skoglund each finding the net within just two minutes, and the match ended with a convincing victory for the home team at 7-1.
After this victory, Funbo IF sits in an impressive second place in the standings. Almo BK will have to go back to the drawing board and reassess their tactics to improve their performance in upcoming matches.
