Vargspåret IP was filled with enthusiastic supporters as Funbo IF and Almunge IK faced off in Division 6 Uppland Östra on Monday evening. Referee Nathanaël Näslund kicked off the match at 18:30, and the players quickly got to work fighting on the field.
It was Almunge IK who took the lead after 26 minutes when Jonathan Andersson scored the first goal of the match. Funbo IF fought on, but five minutes later, it was time again as Ludvig Ehrnvall from Almunge IK scored his first goal of the evening. At the end of the first half, Alexander Ajdert from Funbo IF received a yellow card after being a bit too aggressive.
In the second half, Almunge IK continued their momentum, and after 56 minutes, it was time again when Ludvig Ehrnvall scored his second goal of the match, making it 3-0. Funbo IF struggled to find a way back into the game, but it was difficult under the intense pressure from Almunge IK.
With less than five minutes left in the match, Alexander Ajdert received his second yellow card and was sent off. At the same time, Anton Hallin, the equipment manager from Funbo IF, also received a red card and a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Johan Svensson from Almunge IK scored his team's fourth goal in the match, and it looked like a clear victory for the team. However, in the final moments, Funbo IF kept fighting, and Alexander Åhl scored a consolation goal in stoppage time.
Despite the loss, it was an exciting match that kept the audience on the edge of their seats the whole time. Almunge IK remains one of the best teams in the division, while Funbo IF still has much to show.
