SATURDAY MORNING AT LINGONVALLEN 1 – A joyful atmosphere enveloped Lingonvallen as Mangskogs SK hosted Grums IK 2 in an exciting Division 6 match. Unfortunately, the attendance was zero due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the home team really put on a show for those watching via livestream. Referee Ali Reza Jahfari kept order among the players in what turned out to be a quite one-sided match.
Mangskogs SK kicked off the match at a high tempo, and just three minutes in they took the lead with a goal from Jonas Karlsson, which truly boosted the confidence of the red and black team. Grums IK 2 fought hard, but Mangskogs was clearly the better team, and Viktor Ling doubled the lead in the 21st minute, which was followed by another goal from Ling ten minutes later.
The home team's dominance proved too much for the visitors, and Pierre Thunberg and Abid Salehi each scored a goal before half-time, bringing the score to 4-0 at the break. Mangskogs SK also brought in new signing Leon Trygg during the half-time break to further strengthen the team.
In the second half, Mangskogs displayed some really good football, with Abid Salehi scoring two goals within ten minutes, and Jonas Karlsson netting his second goal of the match, making the score 7-0 just a little over an hour into the game.
Grums IK 2 tried in vain to get back into the match, but Mangskogs kept entertaining the audience via the livestream. Abid Salehi completed his hat trick, and Leon Trygg also scored his first goal for the club. Unfortunately, Grums IK 2 managed to score a consolation goal in the final minute, but it was too late for them to change the match result.
After a really strong team performance from Mangskogs SK, the final score was 9-1, which placed them at the top of the table, while Grums IK 2 remained in eighth place.
