Alingsås City FF achieved an impressive victory when they faced Borås GIF in Division 6 Västergötland Alingsås on Friday evening. The match was held at Alströmervallen artificial turf, and although the arena was empty due to the pandemic, the home team's fantastic performance deserved a full stadium.
Alingsås City FF started strong but received an early warning when Hugo Wiborg committed a foul leading to a free kick. Martin Andersson also received a caution later in the first half for a tough tackle. Oliver Östlind found the net again in the 66th minute with a long-range shot that the Borås GIF goalkeeper could not save. Ted Hammar sealed the final score at 4-0 with a goal in the 84th minute.
Alingsås City FF dominated the match from start to finish and won against Borås GIF thanks to their fantastic play. Meriton Bislimi received a late warning for the home team, but it did not affect the outcome. Referee Joakim Wallenås also delivered a very impressive performance.
