In the sixth division of men's football in Västergötland, Vretens BK faced Norra Fågelås IF on Friday evening at the Vreten A-plan. Despite the match being played without an audience, it turned out to be an entertaining game.
The first warning of the match came in the fourteenth minute and was given to Norra Fågelås IF. Aimen Mahmoud Mohammed received the dubious honor of being the first player to be cautioned.
Just a few minutes later, in the 27th minute, Felix Lennartsson received his second warning and was forced to leave the pitch with a red card. This became a significant advantage for Vretens BK, who took the opportunity to press for the opening goal. In the 28th minute, Alfred Söderberg broke through and scored, giving Vretens BK a 1-0 lead.
Towards the end of the first half, there was another goal-scoring opportunity for the home team. Emil Holmberg received the ball by the crossbar and made no mistake as he pushed it in to make it 2-0.
The second half became more intense, with several warnings issued to players on both sides. Pontus Holmgren received his first caution in the 74th minute. Saeed Jawad Husseini from Norra Fågelås IF was cautioned in the 81st minute.
Norra Fågelås IF fought hard to get back into the game and succeeded in scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Marcus Fogelberg shot the ball into the net after a fine combination.
However, Vretens BK had no plans of giving away the victory, and Kenan Mulahusic scored in the 90th minute, bringing the final score to 3-1 in favor of the home team. Referee Andreas Göransson blew the final whistle, and Vretens BK celebrated a well-deserved victory.
