In an exciting match between Folkabo IK and Stenstorps IF at Skedevallen 1 on Saturday afternoon, Stenstorps IF managed to win 2-1 and now climbs up to seventh place in the standings. The attendance was only 25 people who together witnessed a battle between two teams with much to prove.
Stenstorps IF started the match strongly and had several dangerous scoring chances early on. Halfway through the match, referee Ulrik Hedfjärd issued a warning to Stenstorps IF’s Fabian Olsson for a tough tackle.
After a balanced match throughout the second half, it was Viktor Merigo from Stenstorps IF who put the visiting team ahead 1-0 in the 75th minute. Stenstorps IF then scored their second goal with just five minutes left in the match when Erik Wahnberg managed to get a foot on a deflection and made it 2-0.
With only three minutes remaining in regular time, Fredrik Johansson from Folkabo IK scored a consolation goal for the home team when he received the ball just outside the penalty area and sent a right-footed shot curling in behind the goalkeeper of Stenstorps IF.
However, it was too late for Folkabo IK to turn the match around, and they had to see themselves defeated by Stenstorps IF with a score of 2-1 in a well-played match. The match produced four yellow cards, one of which resulted in a red card for Stenstorps IF’s Erik Wahnberg, who will miss the next match.
