Monday evening featured exciting soccer as Julita GoIF hosted Björkviks IF at Öljevi IP. In front of an audience of 100 people, it was the home team that took the initiative, and the first real chance came in the fourth minute through a fine attacking sequence that resulted in a one-on-one situation, but the Björkvik goalkeeper made a great save.
In the eleventh minute, Julita received the first booking of the match when a player went in hard during a challenge. Two minutes later, it was the guests' turn to take the lead when Robin Jonsson scored to make it 0-1 after a good run into space. Julita continued to press but struggled to create clear goal-scoring opportunities.
In the second half, the match continued at the same pace, and in the 49th minute, Olle Ekholm received a yellow card for a tough tackle. In the 60th minute, Björkviks' Carl Wing also received a yellow card after a fierce duel.
With just over fifteen minutes left in the match, Julita finally equalized when Victor Moberg pushed in a rebound following a great save by the Björkvik goalkeeper. After the equalizing goal, Julita took over more and more and created several dangerous chances. In the 86th minute, they finally scored the long-awaited leading goal when Shawesh Mahmud shot in to make it 2-1 after a clever play switch.
Björkvik tried to push for an equalizer, but it was Julita who managed to make it 3-1 with Humam Alabdali scoring in the 89th minute. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Julita GoIF following a strong second half. Referee Zakarie Abdullahi Ahmed had a good eye for issuing yellow cards during the match and kept the game under control. Julita continues to fight at the top of the table in Division 7 Södermanland West, while Björkvik will have to lick their wounds before the next match.
