On Saturday afternoon, September 10, an exciting soccer match was played in Division 7 Uppland East, men's league, between Rånäs IF and Rö IK 2. The match took place at Rånäs IP 1 and the attendance was not particularly impressive, with only 15 people in the stands. The referee for the day was Ameen Nasiar.
The match started evenly, with both teams fighting to take the lead. However, it wasn't until the 22nd minute that we saw the first goal, when Rånäs IF managed to score 1-0 through Oliver Smårs. Rö IK 2 tried to recover after that but struggled to find the back of the net, and the more chances they missed, the more frustration was visible in their play.
In the 55th minute, Rö IK 2's Hannes Sjödahl received a warning from the referee, and just a couple of minutes later, Rånäs IF's Oskar Sundblom received his own warning. Tony Eriksson from Rånäs also received a warning in the 61st minute, but the well-known "goal thief" Kristoffer Villar Moya ensured that Rånäs extended their lead to 2-0 in the 72nd minute. Rö IK 2 continued to fight, but it felt like the match was over.
In the 88th minute, Norrullah Haidari from Rånäs IF scored the match’s third and final goal, meaning Rånäs IF won the match 3-0. Overall, it was a well-played match, but Rånäs IF was clearly the better team on the field and rightfully took home the victory.
