It was a sunny Saturday morning at Hagvallen 11 when Smedjebackens FK hosted Säfsnäs IF in Division 8 Dalarna 9-man, men's league. Unfortunately, there was no audience present to see the match. The referee for the day was Rolf Hansson.
It didn't take long for Smedjebackens FK to show their strength on the pitch. Already after 9 minutes, Martin Jäger managed to make it 1-0 for the home team. Just a minute later, Jäger increased it to 2-0, and it looked like it would be a long day for the visiting Säfsnäs IF.
After 20 minutes, the third goal came from Martin Jäger, who had now completed a hat trick. Shortly before halftime, Jäger also scored his fourth goal of the day, and Smedjebackens FK led 4-0.
The second half began just as the first ended, with Smedjebackens FK being the clearly better team. Just three minutes into the half, William Mård made it 5-0. Mård also managed to score his second goal of the day before Johan Kvastegård struck to make it 7-0 for Smedjebackens FK.
Despite the match already being decided, Säfsnäs IF continued to fight and managed to score a consolation goal after 58 minutes. Rikard Arnfjell Magnil put the ball behind Smedjebackens FK’s goalkeeper, and the match ended 7-1.
After the victory, Smedjebackens FK sits in second place in the table, while Säfsnäs IF remains second to last. Next week, both teams will face new challenges in Division 8 Dalarna 9-man, men's league.
