It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and Vikingalunden 1 was filled with eager spectators as Väddö IF 2 faced Brottby SK 2 in Division 8 Uppland East. Referee Rudi Milaimovic blew the whistle to start the match, and just 2 minutes in, Brottby SK 2 found themselves on the wrong side of an own goal situation, giving Väddö IF 2 the lead.

12 minutes into the match, Julius Blomgren raised the bar by scoring Väddö IF 2's second goal. However, Brottby SK 2 did not give up and responded with a header goal from Robert Berger just one minute later. The match was now truly underway.

After 17 minutes, Viktor Haeger Sjöström scored a goal for Väddö IF 2, extending their lead to 3-1. Andrée Hallberg quickly followed up with another goal, creating a significant gap in the scoreline.

Brottby SK 2 received a warning when Lias Håkansson committed a foul, and Viktor Due-Boje also got a warning just before halftime. Despite this, Väddö IF 2 continued to dominate the field, and Viktor Haeger Sjöström scored his second goal after 42 minutes.

The second half was not much different. Väddö IF 2 quickly added another goal through Julius Blomgren, further widening the gap in the scoreline. But Brottby SK 2 showed some fighting spirit, and Robert Berger scored another goal, which would be the last time Brottby SK 2 would find the net for a while.

At the 70-minute mark, Martin Andersson from Brottby SK 2 received a warning, but Väddö IF 2 didn’t go unpunished either, as Magnus Winge and David Rodriguez Bergström both received warnings while trying to score in the 87th minute. Julius Blomgren scored his third goal, securing a hat trick and following in the footsteps of Haeger Sjöström, repeating the success of his previous year. However, Brottby SK 2 were able to get one last goal in, as Oliver Smårs scored just before the final whistle.

The match was thus complete, and Väddö IF 2 had secured a significant victory on home turf. Thanks to their performances throughout the season, they finished in 2nd place in the league, while Brottby SK 2 ended up in 4th place.
