It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at Ljungbergsplanen when Kvarnsvedens IK hosted Hammarby IF DFF in an exciting Elitettan match in front of 433 spectators. Referee Morgan Kullberg kicked off the match, and it was the home team that took the lead in the eleventh minute. Hanne Gråhns scored the goal, and Kvarnsvedens IK went up 1-0.
A while later, just before halftime, Marie Salander extended the lead to 2-0 with a beautiful header. The home crowd erupted in cheers, and Kvarnsvedens IK had full control of the match.
In the second half, both teams made some substitutions to try to change the flow of the game. But it was Kvarnsvedens IK that continued to dominate, and in the 78th minute, Ahkeela Darcel Mollon increased the lead to 3-0.
However, Hammarby IF DFF did not give up, and in the 80th minute, Petronella Ekroth reduced the deficit from the penalty spot to 3-1. Then, in the 92nd minute, Greta Arleteg managed to score yet another goal for Hammarby IF DFF, making it 3-2. Despite a strong finish from the away team, it wasn't enough to close the gap, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of Kvarnsvedens IK.
