The match began with a balanced start where both teams fought hard to take control. In the 41st minute, Marie Stålhandske from AIK received a warning.

The first goal of the match came in the 56th minute when Loreta Kullashi headed the ball into the net for AIK, giving the team a 1-0 lead.

After the goal, both teams made some substitutions to try to inject new energy into their squads. AIK brought on Nicole Odelberg Modin and Samantha Ammanuel. Assi IF also attempted to turn the match around by making several substitutions, including bringing in Elin Nilsson and Moa Öhman.
