IFK Kalmar showcased an incredible performance when they faced Holmalunds IF Alingsås at Gröndals IP 1 during Saturday afternoon's match in Elitettan. Right from the start, the pace was high, and it didn't take long before 17-year-old Amanda Arnautovic found the net for the home team, scoring the first goal already in the second minute.
IFK Kalmar maintained the pressure throughout the match and scored additional goals through Arnautovic, who completed her hat trick before halftime. Emma Jones and Layet Valerie Carlson also contributed to the home team's 5-0 lead at the break.
Holmalunds IF Alingsås fought hard and managed to score a consolation goal through Sandra Augustsson early in the second half, but IFK Kalmar did not let go of the match. Ida Andersson and Jones added two more goals, while Holmalunds' Nicole Fallqvist received a yellow card towards the end of the match.
The final result was an impressive 8-1 victory for IFK Kalmar, who were rewarded with a standing ovation from the 172 people who chose to attend the match at Gröndals IP 1. Referee Sandra Almkvist and her assistants Mohammad Khalil Salame and Max Sandgren had a relatively calm match, with the exception of Fallqvist's yellow card, and managed the game commendably.
