The match between AIK and IFK Kalmar at Skytteholms IP 2 was a truly exciting event for an audience of 192 spectators.
It was AIK that took the lead in the 12th minute through Sarah Storck, but IFK Kalmar quickly equalized with Amanda Arnautovic in the 14th minute. Arnautovic continued to be hot and put Kalmar in the lead before halftime with her second goal of the match.
In the second half, AIK came back and equalized through Emma Engström in the 60th minute. Just two minutes later, Amanda Nildén scored to make it 3-2 for the home team following a corner. After a while, Sarah Storck increased her goal tally, making it 4-2 for AIK in the 70th minute.
IFK Kalmar did not give up and reduced the lead through Erin Gunther in the 76th minute.
Despite a hard-fought battle from both teams, AIK managed to hold on and win the match 4-3.
AIK made several substitutions during the match to try to maintain their lead, while IFK Kalmar also made some changes to try and spark a comeback.
Referee Jennifer Laurin and her assistant refs Emelie Elfstrand and Fatemeh Sepahi kept a close eye on the match and ensured the game flowed smoothly.
After a truly entertaining match, AIK was able to celebrate their victory and secure three important points in the Elitettan league.
